One of the rarest finds in this area is a true Idahoan, born and raised, and Rick Souza is just that. Born in Coeur d'Alene, ID, Rick spent much of his younger years playing in Hayden Lake, as he has watched the region grow up around him. What were once fields and mountains, are now neighborhoods and businesses.
Rick enjoyed a quiet childhood of fishing, hiking, camping, and boating largely unaware that North Idaho was quietly becoming a vacationer's paradise. After graduating high school, he began a career traveling the country working on Hydroelectric Plants. This experience took him to every corner of this great nation and let him experience different regions, cultures, people and flavors. The beauty of hydroelectric, whether in the mountains or in the desert, is that there always must be bodies of water nearby.
Upon deciding it was time to settle down, his heart was drawn to only one place to call home. Rick utilized his years of lake life to begin a new career in real estate, specializing in waterfront properties. From one room bungalows only accessible by boat, to expansive estates hidden at the end of long private driveways, Rick has explored them all and established himself as a leading expert in the region. In addition to real estate, Rick owns a local coffee stand and a vacation rental on Hayden Lake.
Now a father of a beautiful baby girl, Rick is working to pass on the simple North Idaho life to her, including his love of fishing, hunting, camping, boating, and most important...loving where you come from.
